Smongkoo: A Warm, Confident Script for Real Branding
Designer Notes You’ll Actually Use
- Test it in black and white first—color can mask spacing issues, and Smongkoo’s charm lives in its structure, not its palette.
- Check readability at 12 pt on screen and 10 pt in print. It holds up down to 14 pt reliably; below that, use only isolated characters or initials.
- Always preview on real mockups: a label on a glass bottle, a t-shirt chest print, a laptop sleeve mockup—not just a Figma artboard.
- Compare uppercase vs. lowercase in your layout. They’re distinct voices—don’t default to caps unless hierarchy or tone demands it.
- Review spacing in live text blocks. Smongkoo’s default tracking is generous, but tight headlines may need -10–-20 units of tracking for cohesion.
- Pair it deliberately: try it beside a warm serif (for editorial design), a clean sans serif (for web design), another script font (for contrast, not competition), and a restrained handwritten font (for layered authenticity).
- Confirm commercial licensing before any client or business use. Smongkoo is a premium font from Script Amp—licensed for unlimited projects, but verify the license covers your specific use case (e.g., SaaS UI, resale templates, physical product branding).
